A private developer, Stoney Ridge Estates, LLC and officials of the Town of Dighton have collaborated to provide this affordable housing opportunity in Dighton. The entire development will be constructed in five (5) phases and will consist of sixty (60) Single Family Homes. Applications are now being accepted on a first come, first serve basis for the first two (2) phases of construction which includes 25 houses of which 7 are affordable.
All homes, market rate and affordable, shall be of colonial architecture. There are a variety of model types of which some will be three bedroom which will cost $200,700 and some will have four bedrooms which will cost $217,200. The homes will have town water and private septic systems. The lots will range in size from approximately 1/3 to 1/2 acre.
Stoney Ridge Estates is situated on approximately 41.7 acres on the west side of Pine Street in the central part of Dighton. Pine Street traverses from Brook Street northerly to Center Street which provides direct access to Route 138.
The development is bounded by Pine Street with residential lots to the east, Audrey Lane to the south, Town owned land to the west and by residential lots to the north.
It is estimated that the total monthly cost of your mortgage payment including Principal, Interest, Real Estate Taxes, Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI), Hazard Insurance and Homeowners fees will be approximate $1,482. This assumes a 30 year fixed rate mortgage at current Freddie Mac rate of 4.20 plus .25 % with a 5% down payment. Your down payment can be 3% of which half can be a gift. There are some housing programs such as USDA in which the down payment may be as low as $0. You cannot rely on this estimated monthly cost amount, this is only an estimate.
